The Lahore residence owned by Khan is located in the esteemed Zaman Park neighborhood. The house, spanning over two kanals (approximately 1,012 square meters), was constructed during the 1980s. Currently, Khan and his sisters collectively possess the property, which holds an estimated value of around PKR 100 million (approximately $450,000 USD).
The luxury tax notice was issued subsequent to Khan submitting property records to the Punjab government last month. Following an assessment of the property's value, the government determined that Khan is liable to pay a tax of PKR 14 lakh.
Khan has been given until Monday to settle the tax payment. Failure to comply will result in the issuance of a second notice and potential legal repercussions.
Regarding the property, Khan has consistently refuted any allegations of impropriety. He has maintained that he has dutifully fulfilled his tax obligations and expressed confidence in reaching a resolution with the government regarding this matter.
